Is this thing on?

Hi folks (assuming there's anyone paying attention),

Stephanie here. I know there hasn't been much (or any) progress posted here lately. What with other distractions we've been negligent in getting the house in order, and even more negligent in reporting on it. But things have been happening, slowly but surely. I'll post a brief recap here in the near future of what we've done since the last update, and we've got new projects moving ahead. They may be moving at a snail's pace, but they're in motion. The whole "I'm finishing my degree" excuse is well past its expiration date so, although I'm also trying to get the illustration business on its feet I'm shifting some focus to the things which most desperately need to be done around the house. And by desperate, I mean both in terms of the building's structural integrity and our own sanity. Current active projects: my studio, which was assembled hurriedly when we moved into the house the same week the semester started and hasn't been much altered since, and the workroom in the back, which has been used for 3 generations without getting a really good cleaning-out. Other projects waiting in the wings include the living room (aka that big "holding area" for things we haven't figured out what else to do with) and a couple big-ticket items like insulation and replacement windows. Not to mention the finishing touches in the rooms which have already been redecorated.

In the meantime, I've set up my own little sketchblog, Scribbles and Scribings, which is art-oriented and serves as both creative outlet and self-promotion tool, and Jason has a new blog for his creative writing, Jason Speaks. Since we're both notoriously bad journalers, only the future will show how those go.
