Not as much happened on Wednesday as everyone hoped. Apparently, the electrician didn't arrive when they thought he would. What are the odds of that?
However, they did get some more of the carpentry done, including installing insulation into the walls and framing out the opening in the wall where the old attic crawlspace.
In the attic they finished most of the details including installation of the attic fans and a handrail at the top of the stairs for the light switch, and painting the hatches.
Here's the downstairs hatch, along with the rarely-seen kitchen door which has come in very helpful in corralling the various pets and keeping construction dust out the den, where we can go to pretend the chaos upstairs isn't going on.
